We normally ship USPS First Class Mail and we require insurance because we have experiences that shows a typical buyer who does not insure still wants us to make good on items lost in the mail and since we want happy buyers we have always done that so we decided that insurance is best for both us and the buyer. However, since we want our customers to be happy with our products, we will unconditionally issue refund(including shipping)or exchange on any pen, pencil or set returned within 7 days. You are responsible for return shipping. We do not accept returns of Zippo Lighters unless you receive the wrong item. Zippo's that don't work can be exchanged directly at Zippo. We do not accept returns of pen kits unless they have been damaged in transit...normally there will be an insurance claim in such cases I am a one man shop...I turn each pen myself. I do not have any cost for my labor figured in the prices of items sold here, it is a labor of love. I charge a higher price for pencils for three reasons, the kits cost a little more, they are a little harder to assemble, there are more failures in the assembly process resulting in the loss of the kit. I make a few sets and will of course, make sets for anyone by special order. I will make other styles of pens on special order also. I also sell Zippo Lighters and Pen Kits for other wood turners.
