These brilliant red buds are gathered and carefully threshed from the main stalk, de-stemmed, dried, crushed and impregnated in top quality acrylic resins. This is a laborious, expensive process, but yields blanks that are truly out of this world, rivaling the finest exotic burl in grain structure and uniform distribution. You will receive the block in the photo. Although we take extreme care in controlling quality, like any fine exotic burl, you may find small voids here and there when shaping. These are easily filled with a drop of CA glue and further buffing. The resin casting is impervious to fresh and salt water, hand oils and most solvents. It does not crack or check like wood burl.
